Works for me Wednesday: Cell Phone Reminders

There are so many dates that I need to remember that I can't possibly keep track of them all. Doctor's appointments have been consuming my schedule for the last few months of my pregnancy, and now that he's here HIS appointments are consuming my schedule! I write them on my "Mom's Plan It" calendar on the fridge, but I'm not always home or really aware of what's on my calendar. So I use my reminder feature on my cell phone.

(it was difficult to navigate the phone while filming. I hope you can see what I was doing.)

I use the cell phone calendar and enter appointments, but the most important part is to create an alarm to go with the note! If you don't do this it won't do you any good. It takes me about 15 minutes to get to the other side of town. So I know that any appointment I have will only take me 15 minutes or less to get there. So I set my alarm reminders to go off 45 minutes before the appointment. This gives me 30 minutes to get ready (in case I'm not dressed yet!) and 15 minutes travel time.

Also, make sure you pick a really loud obnoxious ring for your alarm. You don't want to miss it! Share/Bookmark

This would be so effective because of the alarm! Thanks for the idea.

I forget that the reminder is on my phone. I used it when I first got the phone, but haven't used it in quite a while.

I agree! Me and my hubby both use Google Calendar and have reminders texted to us just before we are due to leave for someplace.

I also use my phone's alarms for my son's asthma meds, waking up in the a.m., dinnertime, and bedtime!
